Sam fashions her pieces by hand at her traditional workshop in the prestigious Goldsmiths Centre in London.
Her desirable pieces are made in gold, platinum and often include diamonds and coloured gems. An inclination to blend subtle color differences in these precious metals is characteristic of her authentic designs. Sharing her creations with clients, evoking in them a sense of empowerment when wearing her jewellery is her priority.
Sam’s jewellery has come a long way since the shell-and-string necklaces she strung on the beach as a kid living in Australia. Now, with over 27 years experience working with precious metals and stones, Sam is an accomplished designer and goldsmith you can trust. Beach combing is still a favourite pastime, accompanied, however, by her little boy Jack who has grown to love it too.
Sam’s love for the natural world, all it manifests in art and design, connects her with the Divine and the diverse passions that inspire her; the meaningfulness, for instance, latent in flowers, architecture, interiors, vintage lights, tile patterns, wrought iron. She is also drawn to the jewel colours and opulence seen and felt in paintings by Klimt. The minerals Sam uses frequently in her work are also an important, and deepening, connection. How Sam’s creations feel—their spiritual energy—is as much a part of the client’s joy in her jewellery as how it looks while they wear it.
